Miriam believes very strongly that art should lift the viewers’ spirits and nourish their souls, and that it’s presence in the home and workplace is essential for the art owners’ and viewers’ mental health and well-being. There is far too much stress created by the rush and pressure of our daily lives, and surrounding oneself with beautiful art creates an optimism and happiness in the heart and mindset of the viewer. Every picture tells a story and/or evokes a feeling. Miriam’s goal is to create art which soothes the soul and evokes peace and joy.

Everyone loves her portraits of people, and Miriam also loves to create animal portraits, such as your pets and wildlife. A house portrait is also a popular choice. She enjoys traveling and has painted scenery en Plein aire both abroad as well as locally and across the United States. Her favorite genres include landscapes, people, all animals, still life and surrealism.

Commissions are cheerfully accepted. They can be created for you in any genre and in the medium of your choice. If desired, some commissions can be created by working together with Miriam. For example, every picture tells a story and, if you have a number of keepsakes that have sentimental value for you, Miriam can assist you in arranging them in a composition to your liking to create a still life of your own story. Or, you may want to insert a figure or a portrait in a landscape or in an interior setting. She will then record them for you in the medium of your choice in order to tell your own story in a work of art to treasure forever.

Miriam is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a major in Commercial Interior Architecture and Design. Although she fully enjoyed working in that field, at some point in time Miriam fell in love with creating Fine Art. It is now her passion to create beautiful and imaginative art for the home and workplace. Currently a resident of Georgia, Miriam is a local artist in both Augusta as well as Atlanta.
